History Geto-Gardening.nl BV

In 1972 the founder/director Mr. H.W. Roozen started selling plastic garden articles, in particular bulb trays and plant-support-rings under the name Geto-Export BV. Geto is an abbreviation for Garden Equipment Trading Office. These products were sold to wholesalers and nurseries in the Netherlands and abroad. The addresses of customers have largely been acquired through the many years of international experience of Mr. Roozen (originating from the bulb and turf trade).

In 1989 Mr. Barry Verbeek took over Geto and in 2000 the company started trading in pots (earthenware) in addition to plastic garden articles. Since the pottery was mainly sold to retail, it soon became apparent that it was difficult to run these 2 disciplines side by side. That is why it was decided in 2004 to let the plastic branch run completely independently again. Barry Verbeek decided to continue with the pottery branch and Paul Weijers (who had been working for Geto for many years) took over the plastic branch and has been running the company with great pleasure ever since.
